WWE Smackdown Live Reaction -
The Face That Runs The Place
Check out my great, good, bad, and pathetic from Tuesday night's edition of Smackdown Live.
Great
- AJ Styles is the new face that runs the place on Smackdown and its o welcomed. The guy is just great. I loved the opening promo from AJ that basically explained that this was his house and he's the man now. Much deserved WWE champion.
- John Cena returned and he was great on the mic tonight. He had great exchanges with AJ, but the real treat was the verbal sparring between Cena and Ambrose. These two were shooting a bit and really mad this feel special. Really liked the mix.
- The main event tag was very good and I liked the ending where Ambrose laid out Cena. It appears he's turning heel, but he could just be being a bad ass who doesn't care. Ambrose needs to kick it up like Austin said. The guy has something that needs some tweaking.
Good
- I can't explain just how much of improved character Miz has been ever since the talking Smack segment with Daniel Bryan. the guy has a new found fire and he has been great. Loved his promo tonight about renegotiating his contract and I loved the beat down he put on the scrub who was coming down to be AJ's partner for the main event. Great stuff.
- The Uso's have a new attitude and a new look and I like it.
- The Orton vs Bray build was pretty good. I like that Orton still feels a bit special because he doesn't wrestle on TV every week. Although that ass whipping he took at the hands of Lesnar dis hurt his aura.
Bad
- Why are we supposed to care that Jack Swagger is on Smackdown? Of all the people they could have brought over from RAW that would make this show better, they bring Jack Swagger, who just lost to Jinder Mihal on RAW? What the hell is going on here?
- I hate Heath Slater. I'm the minority, I get it. I hate this dumb shit.
- The women can't wrestle very well on this show. That five way was very hard to sit through, so I just fast forwarded my recording.
A good show that set up all the big matches for No Mercy on 10/9. Every segment had focus and was building towards something on the PPV. And the final segment made me interested in Dean Ambrose again. Good job.
