What You Should have Watched Last Night:
Wednesday Night 9-23-15
On Wednesday night, I watched so many great shows, even aside from the six I am featuring here. Truly a great night for TV.

Survivor returned last night with new twist, as the cast is comprised of past players who were voted to return for a second chance by the fans. I think this was great idea, and the cast is made up of a lot of good personalities and players from the past that were fun to watch.
Last night saw the eviction of Vytas, who played the first time he was on with his brother. The cast got rid of him because he came off as cocky and he rubbed some the wrong way. I was never a fan of his, so I wasn't sad to see him go.
I'm pulling for Jeremy, the firefighter, who I feel got shafted last time he played. He has assembled a nice little alliance right off the bat with my girl Tasha and I hope they can stick together and go far.
Rating: Good Start

The show everyone was waiting for returned at 9pm, Empire. Honestly, it was solid return, nothing earth shattering. Luscious is in prison, so I am glad they followed up with him inside and not magically skipped ahead to him being out.
But I'm sorry, Chris Rock as a thug? I couldn't buy that shot for a second. Totally unbelievable and a poor choice of casting. I couldn't get into the storyline because I was waiting for him to crack a joke.... and he never did.
Should be a good season and I want to see where tehy take this whole storyline with Jamal standing tall for his father and running shit. I just can't buy that either honestly. But i digress.

Black-ish is so damn funny and relate-able, I love it. Some people just can't get past the name, but they need to get over it, its a very good show.
Last night's focus was on the N-Word and I thought they covered the subject so perfect. Jack performing Kanye for the talent show at school and rapping the N-Word was brilliant. The subject matter is never covered and I thought they did an excellent job balancing the comedy aspect while tackling a serious dilemma for our society.

The League is one of the most underrated comedies on TV. Its always funny and it focuses on football. What more can you ask for.
Last night was especially hilarious as Ruxin was the star of the show for me. His wife was out of the country but set up surveillance cams in the basement to watch him. This man found a blind spot where she couldn't see him and engaged in hilarious foolishness. LOL. Its was a great episode that pushed the envelope when it comes to TV comedy. Just great.

Your'e the Worst is the best new comedy I have sen in years. When it premiered last season, I knew it would be a hit. I was upset they moved it to FXX, but the show quality has taken an even higher step.
Edgar has been the star of the season for me thus far.His attempts to get Lindsey have been so damn funny and he has a likability about his character that makes you root for him.
When Gretchen invited her old crew to a party hoping to relive the old times, and it turns out they all have matured and grown out of the party life, it was so relate-able. We getting old, we getting old.
Episode rating: Very Good

What a great 2 hour premier. Law and Order SVU continues to keep viewers hooked, even when you figure out what is happening before the reveal. But to me thats part of the shows appeal.
I have watched this show for 15 years, so really nothing shocks me. But when the ME was'nt Warner, and he looked as creepy as he did, I thought, "he's the killer". And he was! But damn, I didn't see all those plot twist.
Everyone was great in their role and the show didn't miss Amaro at all. I really liked the work of Amanda last night and the plot twist where sh is now pregant is intriguing, espeiclly since we don't know who the father is, though I have my theories. Great start though.
