WWE Backlash 2016 PPV Preview
The Blue Brand is ready to showcase their lineup of Superstars with their first official PPV: Backlash.
WWE World Championship
Dean Ambrose (c) vs. AJ Styles
We all know AJ Styles will get a great match out of Dean Ambrose. He’s the 2016 WWE MVP due to his incredible matches with all the big stars put across the ring from him. Any result that doesn't end with AJ as the WWE champion is a failure in my opinion.
WWE SmackDown
Women's Championship
Alexa Bliss vs. Becky Lynch vs. Carmella vs. Naomi vs. Natalya vs. Nikki Bella
Clearly the returning Nikki Bella is a favorite to walk away champion, but I have feeling they will give it to someone like Carmela and Nikki will beat her later in a singles match. But the more deserving winners are Becky, Naomi and Natty. It would be great to see any of them win.
WWE SmackDown Tag Team Championship
Tag team tournament final
It was revealed on Talking Smack that American Alpha will not compete in the match on Sunday, and Gable will be out 2-4 weeks after suffering a kayfabe MCL injury. McMahon and Bryan announced that The Usos will face The Hype Bros at Backlash, with the winning team going on to face Slater and Rhyno for the titles later in the night.
Randy Orton vs. Bray Wyatt
This feud seemingly came out of nowhere without much hype behind it. We’re not really expecting much from this match, to be quite honest. We think an upset win is in order here that will favor Mr. Wyatt. It may seem like Orton is less likely to lose here thanks to his still fresh WWE return and his huge loss at SummerSlam. But I think Bray is where the money is and he should be getting a big win on his way to a title program.
WWE Intercontinental Championship
The Miz (c) vs. Dolph Ziggler
The Miz has been rejuvenated since his verbal joust with Daniel Bryan. Ziggler will once again do his best to ditch his underdog role and win another title, but he’ll come up short…again. Miz isn’t losing that IC Championship for a long time. I'm getting bored with Ziggler.
