NFL Highlights: Week 13
Check out my thought's on some of the main headlines from around the league in week 13. Big match ups and tight contest were entertaining.
Jets win Battle of New York
The Jets got a big win over the Giants, when the G men missed a game tying field goal at the end of regulation. It was a really good game, but Ryan Fitzpatrick must been given a lot of credit, as he was huge. The Giants shut down Chris Ivory, but Fitzpatrick was able to get the ball to Brandon Marshall, who was huge, on multiple occasions, and the defense did just enough to get a quality win.
Seahawks destroy Vikings
The Vikings were beat down, destroyed, punked, and humiliated on their home field by the Legion of Boom. That's right, that was the Legion of Boom. A week after I called them out for letting Pittsburgh beat them up on their home field, that Seattle defense made a statement yesterday. They utterly pounded the best runningback in the league, Adrian Peterson. And Teddy Bridgewater didn't stand a chance.
I really think that the offense has opened up and looked better since Jimmy Graham was injured. May be a good idea to trade him this offseason.

Kansas City is Red Hot
There is no team in the NFL on a hotter roll, from death, than the Kansas City Chiefs. They were left for dead after the loss of Jamal Charles, but the team has rallied and now have won 6 straight games. Great win, in Oakland on Sunday.
The Raiders are still the Raiders. I still like Derrick Carr, but some f those picks he threw, yea there was three of them yesterday, were horrible. And I don't know what's up with Amarie Cooper. He just disappears far too often for me. They seem to be out of Playoff contention now.

Eagles Shock Pats in Foxborough
The Eagles went into Foxborough and defeated the New England Patriots. t looks even crazier the next day. But I saw it with my own two eyes. They harassed Tom Brady, sacked him, picked him off and ran it back for touchdown, ran back a punt, and totally beat the Pats in ever way possible. Offensively, they didn't do much, but they did enough to win, and made plays when they needed to.
Brady clearly needs weapons to be great, like nay QB, and he still tried to rally the troops for the comeback. The guy is great, but he's human. That's two in a row. But this one was at home, and to a team that isn't that good. And this lost will have an impact on playoff seeding. Very interesting.

Cam carries the Panthers to 12-0
The Saints put up a hell of fight and forced the Panthers into a shootout. But in the end, they could not stop Cam Newton, and he carved them like a Christmas ham. Cam was sensational, once again, and he is the clear front runner for MVP in the yes of many, including myself. That defense was carried by Cam Newton yesterday. I saw holes in that defense that may be exposed in the playoffs. Very interesting game.
