WWE RAW Reaction 9-7-15
RAW hailed from my hometown of Baltimore, MD, last night, so I had the pleasure of attending live. I thought the show was entertaining overall and a good show live. Not great, due to the holiday preventing the show from being jammed packed as normal. There were many section tarped off, and the show was far from its normal sellout.
I was entertained, and that's all that matters. Let's get to it.
My RAW Reaction reports will be categorized in four sections, Great, Good, bad, Pathetic. Tonight, there was nothing pathetic.
Let's waste no time and get to it.

Great
- I loved how Kevin Owens interrupted Ryback's promo while eating an apple. Owens as IC champion would be great.
- The video package highlighting the Lana, Dolph, Summer Ray and Rusev Story line. It was fantastic. And while blatantly phony, it was great.
- I loved Sting's mind games with the statue throughout the night. It brought out the funny side of Sting we grew to love from TNA. Then when he finally destroyed it, it was a hell of a payoff that the crowd loved
- The New Day are the greatest act in all of professional wrestling. Bottom line. The trombone promo with Seth Rollins was excellent. And then Edge and Christian. And the gazoo!!!!!! I loved it!!!!! And the Dudley's with the Get the Tables Clap!!! Greatest segment of the night.
- Then Xavier's performance in the main event was sensational. All three are great. They outshined every one. It feels so good to see them shine and succeed in a role that was doomed to fail.
Good
- Seth's opening promo, while a little long winded, had great content. Stings appearance was funny with the statue. But the crowd wasn't really as into as you would think. They really didn't pop for Sting that hot either. The Sheamus interaction was pretty funny which made the segment good in my opinion. I loved how Sheamus dropped the hint about cashing in at Night of Champions
- Good match between Paige and Sasha which was an attempt to make up for that garbage from last week. I love Sasha's in ring work. They gave them time and let them work. Good win for Sasha.
- I liked the Ambrose and Reigns squash match. They looked good and it was effective. They came out, hit their moves, won impressively, the Wyatt's cut a promo hyping their match coming up and we moved on. Effective.
- Rollins vs Ryback was alright. Not bad, but not great or anything either. I wish i had an OK section cause this would go there. Very slow start, good finish. The surprise Ryback win was good.
- Orton and Sheamus had a good solid TV match. I just don't understand the booking of Sheamus. I really don't. He has the briefcase and is basically treated like a joke. He beat Sheamus at the PPV, then loses here.
- The post match Wyatt's attack on Orton was really good and made sense given the tease from earlier that Orton would be Reigns and Ambrose's 3rd partner at Night of Champions. We shall see.
- Dudley's squash was good. Crowd wanted the tables bad and they got it.
Bad
- The follow up to the Lana/ Dolph/Summer/Rusev story line was pretty weak. Especially since Lana wasn't there due to breaking her wrist in training. It fell flat.
- The treatment of Cesaro continues to be the most mind boggling thing ever. I just don't understand. And none of it made sense with the Big Show coming out and and forcing a double count out with the Miz. I hated it.
Seth Rollins will wrestle twice at Night of Champions. He will face Sting for the WWE World Heavyweight Championship, and also take on John Cena for the U.S. Championship.
Though I couldn't hear commentary, I think the stories portrayed in the ring and on the mic, built the Sting Rollins match very well. Cena? I don't know. But I am excited to see the fun Sting more often.
Good Show.
