Run It Back: The Weekly DVR Review - #3
Each and every week here at Causioncreations, I "Run back" over my DVR and give my thoughts on all the shows I watched over the course of the week. I start on Monday and run until Sunday. Some weeks I may skip a show, so the next week I will cover any episode I may have missed the previous week. So let's get to it.
Monday August 1st - Sunday August 7th
Monday
Love & Hip Hop Atlanta - The first part of the reunion was done a lot differently than in the past, with the cast separated and interviewed in small groups they felt comfortable with for the most part. MimI clearly had no interest in dealing with Joseline after all the shit she pulled this season. Nor did Stevie. K Michelle was being her normal annoying self, and overall it was filled with garbage. And the Joseline pregnancy bull, was a bit much for me.
The Making of the Mob: Chicago - The St. Valentines Day Massacre is one of the most well known events in Mob history and I thought the show did a great job covering it last week. Al was ruthless man. But his aggression was his undoing, as he brought on so much heat and attention to himself. Great episode.
Are You the One? - Man, these fools don't know who they want to be with, this they have no clue who they should be with. Its fun to watch though.
Tuesday
Feed the Beast - This has now become of of my favorite shows. The season Finale was action and story-line packed, and it was amazing to finally see and hear TJ speak for the first time. Why the hell would they rib that poker game. Smh. Dead men walking. Its going be a long wait until next season.
Tyrant - Man, this show just gets better and better every week! I knew Barry couldn't help himself from sleeping with her again. And she clearly is falling in love with him. I think this whole situation is going to have major implications.
Dating Naked - Lol, just watch the show. Its funny.
Wednesday
Greenleaf - Best episode of the season, hands down. They really turned the fire up and Bishop Greenleaf is about to murder Mac. Man, I was shocked how they actually went ahead with the entire reveal last week and let the cat out the bag. Problem is, the Mac got hella dirt on them and I'm sure he's not going be afraid to use it. Plus Grace broke up that happy home for Noah. Smh.
Thursday
Big Brother - Farewell Da'Vonne. You will be missed, but your mouth got you in trouble. Your mouth always gets you in trouble.
Braxton Family Values - Welp, after weeks of getting along, the sisters are about to be fighting again. Tamar talks a lot of shit but can't take it. Its annoying.
Sex&Drugs&Rock&Roll - What the hell is going on? So Flash and Ava are sleeping around now? Its been kinda building all season, but it was so crazy how it was revealed. And why would he cheat on Ava? I can see why Ava would want to leave Johnny, so that's no shock. Smh.
Friday
Marriage Boot Camp: Reality Stars - So we learned the "shocking news" that Tara and Dean are just friends and posing for the purpose of being on the show. Plus the lie detector test cleared Memphis of beating K Michelle. YEA, OK. This show is entertaining, but its just that, entertainment.
Sunday
Ray Donovan - Mickie posing as a gay man to escape being killed inside is one of the funniest running story-lines throughout and episode that the show has ever done. Especially when his cell mate was dying and Mickie was pretending he was screwing him. I died laughing. I look forward to seeing what happens with Bunchie and the baby and if Theresa will ever come back.
Return to Amish - Jeremiah is a strange dude. Why not just date Sabrina. He's talking to some fan who he met on the internet and probably has never seen in person, and he's calling her his girlfriend. What a loser. And Abe... this guy is the worst kind of loser. I really feel bad for these idiots because they actually think that the words they speak actually make sense and should be listened to. Fools.
The Last Ship - Did not watch yet.
Ballers - So Spencer is now feeling the repercussions of pouching another mans client. Really, his whole world is in disarray if you really look at it. Losing clients, client getting hurt, client needing to find a new deal, girlfriend may be moving, and business relationships crumbling. About time this show has some real conflict.
Naked and Afraid: XL - Man, with all that wild life and out there, right in front of them in many cases, its amazing how these people are starving and going days without food. One day they should just give them a rifle and let them have at it. Tempers are flaring because they are all together in one large group and too many of the guys think they are the Alpha. Who knows how this will all work out.
Keeping Up With the Kardashians - I really enjoyed the trip to Cuba episodes and felt like I was seeing something I wouldn't normally get to see on TV. The issues between Kanye and Kylie over Adidas/ Puma were touched on at length and I see both points of view. But either way, they are making bank so stop bitching.
Survivor's Remorse - I don't think Cam had anything to apologize for. I mean, he was speaking on how messed up he felt the condition was, not making fun of or belittle those with it. Just another example of how the media can spin shit however they want to. I loved how he flipped it on their asses at the end.
Power - Best episode of the season, hands down. So many great plot-twist and story advancements. Be sure to check out the Crew round-table discussing Power here.
