TOP FIVE SHOWS
OF THE LAST WEEK
NUMBER FIVE
Splitting Up Together - ABC
What a great conclusion to season 1 with Lena and Martin getting back together. If Martin had his way, it would've happened weeks ago, but I'm glad they held it off all season. The Pina colada party was excellent and the song bit was so well done. Crazy cliffhanger for next season, is Lisa Apple pregnant!!!
NUMBER FOUR
For the People - ABC
This show is so phenomenal at character development and building an investment in each person on the show. I love so many of these people that it makes it hard zero in on just one thing to praise. I love Kate Littlejohn and her first sign of vulnerability was so well done. Complex characters make for the best TV. Great first season and I can't wait for the next one.
NUMBER THREE
Krypton - SyFy
I absolutely have loved the first season of Krypton and have not mentioned it here before because I binged it a few weeks into the season. But it was to me sensational. Any show that can present a different layer or twist on the Superman story, in this case a prequel of sorts, is a winner to me. The great mix of timeline events was done so well and we got characters we all know like ZOD, Brainiac and Doomsday is coming!!! Season 2 has been renewed and I can't wait!!! Check out season 1 of you haven't seen it.
NUMBER TWO
Survivor - CBS
That may have been the strongest alliance to make the finals of Survivor in a very long time. I was pleasantly shocked when Wendall won the game because how he played it, burning no bridges, with integrity, investing in relationships through good will, ultimately allowed him to beat Domenick.
I like Dom, and thought he played a very strategic game that was good enough to win. But in the end, his jury management and aggressiveness towards those final jurors is what did him in. While Wendell secured his ultimate fate by securing the most valuable member of their alliance, Laurel. She could've flipped and blew their game up multiple times, but stayed true to them. But I don't think Dom gave her enough respect in the final tribal. Which ultimately played into her casting the final vote for Wendell to win. Great season!!

THIS WEEK'S NUMBER ONE
The Americans - FX
Wooooweeee this is it!! The final episode before the series finale was soooooo great and Philip and Elizabeth's cover is basically about to get blown up. Stan started with a hunch and now he's fully convinced that they are Russian spies who have been undermining his operations all along. Phillip barely escaped after his meeting with the Priest which ultimately will be the nail in their coffin. Also, Elizabeth breaking allegiance from the Center may end up getting them killed. The series finale should be fantastic.
