TOP FIVE SHOWS
OF THE LAST WEEK
NUMBER FIVE
This is Us (NBC) - This season has really been a deep dive into the complicated relationship between Randall and Kevin, and last week's episode was another layer of the explanation to why these two do not get along in the future. Randall has always had an obsessive personality, and he also has always been super protective of his mother. Kevin on the other hand has always been carefree, and had a tumultuous relationship with his mother.
The fact that Kevin has inserted himself into the situation now that Rebecca is sick, is killing Randall. He see's Kevin as the irresponsible brother who only cares about himself, and only gets involved when he feels like it. While Randall has always been there for his mother. Randall wants his mother to enter into a 9 month clinical trial program to attempt to cure her alzheimer's, while Kevin undermines him and wants his mother basically to face her fate. This week's confrontation was explosive, and it's clear the worst is still to come.

NUMBER FOUR
Survivor (CBS) - This season has been the greatest ever, and the best is yet to come. I absolutely love this show, and I was so happy that they gave each tribe the appropriate time. This week, finally they got out the bully, Boston Rob. I have never liked Rob. I recognize he's a great player and an icon of the game, but I have always rooted against him. He rules by fear and force, and that's never my type of player I enjoy watching.
Boston Rob should've been voted out weeks ago, but they felt they wanted to keep him as some sort of shield. Well, this week, the tribes swapped, and he was screwed! Rob's chickens came home to roost. Ben was on to him weeks ago, and Rob bullied him early in the game. That came back to bite him. And then there is Adam, who Rob sold down the river two weeks in a row, and made up a lie about. That came back to bite him as well, as when the tribes swapped, Rob found himself with Ben and Adam as his only allies! Loved it. And they turned on him and sent his ass home. Great job fellas, to cap off a great episode.

NUMBER THREE
Boomerang (BET) - I loved season one of Boomerang and really felt it was hugely underrated because it airs on BET. Had this show aired on FX, like Atlanta and Snowfall, or Starz like Power, it would receive a lot more critical acclaim. Nonetheless, the big cliffhanger last season was Simone cheating on Bryson. I felt so bad for my mans, as anyone who has been through that type of situation can relate to. So in the premiere we see that Bryson has do like many have after having their heartbroken, he turns into a manwhore. He's smashing everything, and looking for that feeling he had with Simone. He's hurt, he's angry, and he's lost. And we see the effects their split has on the rest of the group, as they have to create three different group messages. I loved that part.
I have high hopes for this season. And those hopes rose even higher after seeing the final scene where Bryson and Simone actually hook up again! This is going be fun.

NUMBER TWO
The Good Doctor (ABC) - Shaun is in a tailspin. The scene of the week, and maybe of the season, may have been him completely ripping into Leah! Wow. That scene felt very real. Excellent acting. This guy Freddie Highmore is my favorite actor on TV. Shaun has autism, so he’s missing a lot of social cues. This makes it difficult for him to negotiate relationships in general. He needs to understand he made a mistake and let go of his feelings for her. It isn’t love if both people haven’t signed on. Shaun needs to treat Lea like a friend, and forget that he’s in love with her, because he isn’t really. He just needs to move on.
THIS WEEK'S NUMBER ONE
60 Days In (A&E) - By far the best show I watched last week without a doubt. Last week we saw the end of the traditional 60 day portion of the show, with only three participants making through. People were tapping out left and right this season and the Sheriff didn't think he got as much valuable info as he hoped. So he decided to bring a new group of participants into the jail to test if the changes he made were effective. But this time, everyone would be either law enforcement or CO's. The key would be that he would bring back Tony, who was in the last session and very successful.
The episode was so great! Tony walked into the jail like he owned the place. In intake, a robbed a man of 50 bucks in cash. On his way to his unit, he flirted with a female CO. As soon as he got in his unit, he reconnected with inmates who were in there from before. Tony then picked his own pod and basically made his roommate move to the top bunk against his will. It was hilarious!! I loved this episode. Please go out your way to watch this episode. This was so fun.
