TOP FIVE SHOWS
OF THE LAST WEEK
NUMBER FIVE
Black Ink Chicago - VH1
Rarely do reality shows crack my top five, but the last few weeks of Black Ink have been sensational and I had to bring up how happy I was that Ryan did not fold to the pressure, and try to mend fences with those cowards who turned their back on him. The brawl in the streets of Jamaica led to one of the craziest scenes the show has ever had, and I'm very happy that Ryan did not allow that situation to guilt him into forgiving these turncoats. What part am I missing? They snitched on him. Sure, he was creeping with Kat, but what happened to Bro code? These dudes and females knew the situation, and instead of allowing Ryan to handle his business, they tried to blow his relationship up and make a mockery out of him on National TV, and make Kat look like a victim. No, fuck that. You don't need them Ryan.
NUMBER FOUR
Love Is - OWN
Yasir is unlike any character I can recall seeing on TV. Sure, we have seen men who are possessive of a mate who is submissive to him like Archie Bunker and George Jefferson to an extent, but those were comedies. Yasir truly believes that being protective of Nuri and treating her as this creature whom he adores, yet expects to act, dress, talk, and basically obey the way he chooses, is how it's supposed to be. Its getting frustrating to watch every week, yet the dichotomy is interesting to see develop. This week I was so glad to see Nuri stand up for herself, and we learned that she was once sexually assaulted, which also lends an explanation to why she is the way she is. Very good episode.
NUMBER THREE
Are You the One? - MTV
Rare that I put two reality shows in the top 5, but if you ask me what was I most entertained by last week, this would have been #1!!! This show is hilarious and so great for so many reason that explain what I love about reality TV. Its mindless fun. i don't have to think, I don't have to strategize, its just sexy women, funny situations, and an all around good hour of tv. My favorite part was when the boy Lewis caught the head from Kenya!!! Yo said, you got to let a duck be duck!!! That episode was GOLD!!! And crazy Bria!! Please watch this show.
NUMBER TWO
Snowfall - FX
This week was very interesting, and I am so glad that Franklin is opening his eyes to what is happening with his crew. If he don't put his foot down and stop letting Kevin talk to him any kind of way, he's going to lose respect from the rest of them. In my opinion, Kevin got to die and be made an example of. He's being reckless, killing Mexicans, looking for revenge with no real leads. I also am glad that Lucia figured out that Soledad is police. The way she shot that gun was way to perfect and had Lucia not figured it out immediately, the show would have lost a lot of credibility with me. Great episode as always.
THIS WEEK'S NUMBER ONE
Power - Starz
A Lot happened this episode, as we saw Kanan, you know the smartest man in America, once again be 20 steps ahead of everyone. Throughout the season, Kanan’s played everyone masterfully, especially Ghost and Tommy. Now, after killing Diego for Ghost and saving Jason from Dre, his plan of taking over Tommy’s business is finally coming together. Tommy got to hit LaLa again, so that was good for him. 2-Bit and Spanky have betrayed Dre. The question I still have and have had all season is why is this fucking Queen's Child project so important. Who really gives a shit?!! Now Ghost is blackmailing Tate for it, but I have no clue why The had so much power to begin with. But the funniest thing all season was when Tasha showed up at Terry's apartment and all his shit was gone and he got low!!!! LOLOLOLOL
