Orange is the New Black Episode 6
CO's find out that Litchfield is hiring part time guards. They confront Caputo and want him to do something about it.
New inmates arrive. They try to adapt to the Litchfield way. One inmate requests a kosher meal which has ripple effects when other inmates see her eating one. This will develop into a thing.
Healey is giving Red the cold shoulder. She tried to play him, in order to get back in charge of the kitchen, but he caught on and is hurt. She eventually wins him over again and he gets her transferred to the kitchen, but she's not in charge..... yet.
Taystee breaks it to Poussey that she was the one stealing her hooch, not the squirrel. She tries to convince her to lay off the heavy drinking and wants Poussey to come to AA with her.
The inmates are adjusting to working the new sewing job. Piper notices a new inmate keeps staring at her. Her name is Stella and she gives Piper a hard time about her good looks and privilege. An attraction is obviously there.
Lorna is visited by a few of the men she exchanges pen pal letters with. She lives a total different lie when communicating with each guy. She's doing it so that each guy puts money into her commissary.
But she gets her stories mixed up with one guy, and breaks down and admits that she's just so lonely since her friend Nicky was taken to Maximum Security, that she needed someone to talk to.
Throughout the episode we get Flashbacks of Chang and how well she works the prison system. She's creative as hell makes her own gourmet meals, smuggles in fruit, and has a cell phone she watches movies on in the shed out back. Its also highlighted how she's always been overlooked in life and seen as invisible. She is lonely in prison as well.
Good episode, but I must be honest. This season is missing something. I hope it kicks into gear soon.
