TOP FIVE SHOWS
OF THE LAST WEEK
NUMBER FIVE
For the People - ABC
You know, this is the first legal show where I feel the prosecutors and defense attorneys are both presented equally and fairly to the audience. Each one of the lawyers are highlighted for their humanity as well as the intention they in fighting to win a particular case. This week Leonard really fought to prosecute a case he had very strong conviction about and it was refreshing to see. He was presented in a "bad guy" type of way during the season premiere, but every week we've learned that every character is simply complex. Very good episode.
NUMBER FOUR
Young Sheldon - CBS
I absolutely love this show! Sheldon has been working extra hard to get Meemaw and Dr. Sturgis together and it's been great watching an older version of Sheldon. The dialogue and character development continues to make this show shine and I felt George and Missy were the stars this week. Their scene at Red Lobster just makes you feel good and made me want to share moments like that with my future daughter. Great stuff.
NUMBER THREE
Westworld - HBO
Two episodes into the 2nd season of Westworld and things are becoming so much clearer than after week 1. Delores is a super badass and the army she is molding is making things happen. William, the man in the black hat, is a major key to this show and if you pay attention to the things he says, it gives a lot of context to what's happening. Still shaping into place but great building block episode.
NUMBER TWO
Designated Survivor - ABC
This was tremendous and legit shocked me with the twist. Who the hell knew that they were setting up dude all along and not going after Andrea Frost. That was crazy!!! This has been a sensational season and I give full credit to the writers for turning this ship around.
THIS WEEK'S NUMBER ONE
Homeland - Showtime
Wow wow wow!!!! What a wild season finale and like always this show leaves you begging for the next season to hurry up and get here! Carrie sacrificed herself and her mental stability for the country, and may be screwed up in the brain for real this time. Held hostage and deprived of her meds for 7 months, that's crazy. And for what!?!?! They did all that work to uncover the conspiracy and save that punk ass president and then she gets back in office and resigns!!!! I know Saul was furious!!! I know she thinks it was the noble thing to do, but instead it made her look extremely weak, especially as the first female President. Great great great finale and vant wait for next year!!
