WWE Draft 2016
Last night the WWE presented their 2016 Draft, on Smackdown Live. In all honesty, this was a complete waste of time and completely botched in my opinion. The whole point was to bolster Smackdown and make it important, but in the end, while they did give Smackdown John Cena, AJ Styles, Dean Ambrose, and Randy Orton, the roster is sooo weak after that top their. I was highly disappointing in many of the decisions that were made. I will elaborate more later. Let's list the picks.
The following rules were announced ahead of the draft:
These rules helped me know ahead of time that this draft was going to be complete bullshit.
- The RAW roster has the first overall pick.
- To compensate for the fact RAW is a three hour show and Smackdown is a two hour show, RAW will get three picks for every two Smackdown picks.
- Tag teams will count as one pick unless Shane McMahon/Stephanie McMahon or their GMs specifically indicates they want only one member of the team.
- Six picks will be made off the NXT roster
