Run It Back DVR Review: Fall Season # 6
Monday 10/31/16 - Sunday 11/6/16
With so many great shows airing each day, its impossible to watch everything live, or on a daily basis. So this is the best way for me to give my quick thoughts on what's happening on all the shows I watch.
Each and every week here at Causioncreations, I will "Run back" over my DVR and give my quick thoughts on all the shows. I start on Monday and run until Sunday. Some weeks I may skip a show, so the next week I will cover any episode I may have missed the previous week.
So let's get to it.

Monday
Scorpion on CBS
Walter and Happy are so damn awkward, and know little to nothing about each other. I was glad they tapped into an insecurity of Paige's this week with her lack of Halloween childhood memories. The more they can show that her and Walter need each other, the better. I liked Ralph being an actual kid this week as well, getting hyped up on candy and being funny. I feel like the missions here lately have been a little stupid. I liked the one with Walter in the rocket though. |
Love and Hip Hop: Hollywood on VH1
Ray J and Princess got married after all the drama and bull crap. Good for Ray J for finally settling down after years of thotting. Brandy sang that hell out of that song at the reception. Moneece got her titties done and must say, I approve. Lol. One last important note is my man Safari still walked away with Ms. Nikki. I salute that brother. Hell of a resume. Reunion next week should be really good. |
SuperGirl on CW
Very interesting episode. I loved getting to know M’gann M’orzz and seeing her in the Fight club. And then the reveal is that she’s actually a White Martian posing as a Green Martian was crazy great. Then there is Mon-El, who I think is great character due to his comedic timing. He's adapting to have his powers and its interesting. Kara taking him under her wing should be fun too. And I told yall they are building to an Alex/Maggie romance. Just look at Alex’s disappointment when she finds out Maggie has a girlfriend! I love it. |
Black Ink: Chicago on VH1
Ryan's 30th birthday party was a hell of a shindig, but I must say Van is a complete bitch. What is it with the dudes on this show always crying and whining about something. Its pathetic man. He had no real reason to treat that chick like that, especially since it was Ryan's birthday and not a 9 Mag event. He's crazy. Also, this dude Don is just one of the dumbest people ever. He's not snorting dope, so he's not on O Shit's level, but he's close. And I give it to Ryan for being a man a squashing the beef with Kat. It was petty. |
Tuesday
Flash on CW
Well, we found out a good reason why Katlyn shouldn't just embrace her Killer Frost powers. She might get stuck that way forever the more she uses them. Nice to see her mother and who Katlyn is modeled after. The new Wells is either up to something or he really is dumb as a box of rocks. Yo is funny though. I wonder where they are going with Barry and his new Crime lab partner. Will he be the next big villain? |
This Is Us on NBC
Each week we learned more if the issues the family faced growing up, that on the surface we all expected they probably faced. And that is what makes this show great. Most times a TV show would try to dress up this scenario and present a family that has it all together. But no, This show is keeping it real. Its inevitable that a white family raising a black boy, with their same age white twins would present issues. And this explores it |
Chicago Fire on NBC
This was the best emergency situation I can ever recall seeing on this show. Wow this was great. Casey was faced with the greatest life ir death obstacle and for once he didn't have all the answers on how to solved the problem. End the end he just went savage mode and broke through the wall and it was great. That chemical was vicious and I have never seen a scene like that before. Excellent episode. |
Atlanta on FX
Season 1 of Atlanta ended true to form we have grown to love the show for. The show makes its own rules and tells stories it wants to tell, how it wants to tell it. Ern been struggling all season to provide for his daughter and his girl and finally in the end we see him content with a job well done. Even as he's laying down to sleep in a storage locker. I'm excited to watch their journey from the bottom to the top. Season 2 going be 🔥 |
Wednesday
Survivor on CBS
Michaela finally had a challenge she didn't dominate in and her tribe went to tribal because of it. The woman has been a beast all season and is a huge target, but has carried her team each and every week. So like i predicted, the first chance they got, they voted her out. Truth is, people can't take a strong black woman with skills and a brain. They were intimated by their own ignorance and bias. Typical. Fuck this show, I'M PISSED!!!!! |
Real World Seattle: Bad Blood on MTV
Man, I feel for Theo so much. They really don't know how much fire they are playing with putting him in this situation and its really not fair. What if he snaps and really hurts his cousin? Then he would be portrayed as the bad guy, but that's not fair. This shit is real. That dude ruined his life and he just isn't going to get over it for a TV show. Especially if yo won't admit to his actions. MTV should be ashamed for this one. |
Thursday
Grey's Anatomy on ABC
Dr Webber's days are numbered. He's had a great run as head of the residency program but maybe it is time for someone with some new techniques and ideas to come in and lead the young minds. Bailey is in a terribly tough spot and you can see its killing her. April and Jackson need to stop playing and just get back together. And I'm not interested in the Amelia and Hunt storyline. |
DC's Legends of Tomorrow on CW
This was a great episode that has continued to make it my favorite superhero show. I love how it continues to tackle time periods where racial tensions were high and this was the greatest example so far. Jax was excellent and led the revolution on a Alabama plantation. He freed slaves and even provided the gameplan for the North to win the Civil war. I thought it was grear. |
How to Get Away With Murder on ABC
Best scene of the season was when Annalise let the students tell her why they hate her and how she has ruined their lives. True emotion and true grit. I like Wes and Laurel together but this obviously can't end well. She still loves Frank and its going to be a problem. Annalise and the Dean are getting closer and clearly they getting together soon. I really have no clue where the story is going with the flash forwards. No clue. But a very good episode. |
60 Days In on A&E
The season came to an end with all the participants being released and reuniting with their families. The Sheriff broke the news to his staff that he has under covers inside and you could tell they were shocked. I thought of all the people, Sheri had the best information in her debriefing for the Sheriffs. She figured out the entire drug trafficking method and that was great. Reunion next week and I will give my final thoughts. |
Sunday
Secrets and Lies on ABC
Another week, a million more revelations. Smh. This show pulls more shit out of left field than any show I can remember. We met Kate's son and his parents, and learned that the mother may have just so happened to see Eric's brothers wife do something that could answer more questions we have no clue about. Not to mention we learned about his sisters fertility issues. So much stuff. Good news is we saw another side of Cornell. |
Shameless on Showtime
What a crazy ass episode. Fiona bought a laundromat using a house she doesn't even own as collateral for a loan. She got some nerve boy, after going hard at everyone all season about pulling their weight. That whole thing with Svetlana messing around with her father who we now know is her husband was crazy!!! Kevin is hilarious. Frank finally got what he deserved for ripping them homeless people off. Smh. And good for Carl. |
West World on HBO
Wow, this shit is heating up big time. I thought Delores was the one to watch but Maeve is the one who is going to blow this wide open. Wow man. She pumped the dude for info then made them increase her attributes. Then we got further evidence that Arnold is alive and running things. So many revelations every week on this show make it must see TV. I do wonder about the man in the Black hat and what his purpose is. Is he human or one of the originals. Or Arnold? I don't know but clearly there is more to be revealed. Especially with the revelation about Theresa being rouge too. |
Masters of Sex on Showtime
Sad what has happened to Niecy Nash's character. She completely fell off the wagon. I like the perspective that Bill too has fallen off the wagon by sleeping with Virginia again. Clearly the two have a deep passion for each other but they do tend to be terrible for one another at the same time, especially when hiding their relationship. That was some crazy stuff with Nancy aborting Art's baby, knowing it wa shis and that he wanted a child. That was raw man and shows how messed up in teh ehad she is. But they are trying to screw over Bill and Virginia, so i don't feel sorry for them. |
Insecure on HBO
I knew she was a hoe. I knew it from teh first episode. A good brother who is trying to make something of himself is never enough. Smh. And Shorty from the bank came on Super strong with the boobies out, but my man held strong and faithful. Unlike this chick who fell for every advance by the bootleg producer including the drink spill trick. Smh. Pathetic. She clearly made no mistake, she wanted to sleep with that dude and that was terrible. And that broken pu**y song was probably about her. |
