Week in TV Run It Back
DVR Review - 3/10/17
Thursday 2/23/17 - Wednesday 3/8/17
Thursday
Grey's Anatomy on ABC
2/23 - I really feel torn watching this season. The intent is for viewers to start liking Eliza and see her as a noble new character trying to teach the young minds. But its failing miserably on me and instead making me dislike characters who side with her, and dislike the show and not enjoy watching it. I hate this storyline and how they treating a strong black character like Richard Webber. Its pathetic really, given the times we're in. |
How to Get Away With Murder on ABC
2/23 - So Laurels father had Wes killed? What the hell. So he was in cahoots with the DA too? This shit be confusing man but in the end the thrill of how the destination is reached is the best part. I still wish Wes was alive and Conner was dead. Loved when Asher was eating the cheetos as Connors boyfriend was frantically crying over his demise. Lol. Annalise is still the smartest person ever and always finds away out of jams. Great season. |
Riverdale on CW
2/23 - I really enjoy Riverdale and like the characters they present. But I do have a few gripes. I wish they would get past this murder mystery and move on to a new storyline. Its getting repetitive and long in the tooth. I like that Archie has a sista in his sights for his next piece of tail, but if i were him i would give Veronica a shot. Shorty is bad. 3/2 - Your boy Jugghead shot his shot man, I give it to him. But Betty's response may have been worst than rejection. She treated it like nothing happened. Smh. The revelation that Betty's sister was pregnant by Jason Blossom was a shocker. Very interesting episode. |
60 Days In on A&E
3/2 - The new season is based in the Atlanta county jail and its going be very interesting given that two seasons if the show has already aired. How the hell this will work, I have no clue. The little high pitched voiced Mexican was going get raped if he went in so im so glad he's bowing out. This season looks great. |
Sunday
Homeland on Showtime
2/26 - Shit got real this week, with the FBI agent getting killed because he started to figure out too much info about what appears to be a conspiracy behind the truck bombing. I knew something was up, and I really think the whole ploy was staged as away to inflict fear. You know this really made me think of the guy running the country right now. I wouldn't put it past him to do something like this to justify his bullshit thinking fear message. 3/5 - Wow man. Poor Carrie, losing Franny all because Dar is an asshole on the attack. Truth is I never trusted this dude and knew he would eventually turn on Saul. Always looked shifty to me. But for him to cost Carrie her daughter and try to turn Quinn against her is fucked up. |
Billions on Showtime
2/26 - Show was pretty dry and a tough watch this week. I had to rewind so many times because I kept spacing out and missing stuff. It just wasn't an exciting episode. Nothing much i can really say about it. Clearly he battle between Axe and Chuck is far from over and now that Chuck has the Attorney General off his tail for a minute, he's going go hard. And like always, Wendy is the key to all of this. She will be the undoing of one of these two powers. 3/5 - The chess match intensifies by the week and this was a vast improvement over what we saw last week. Axe is infatuated with Wendy and honestly, she's an attention whore too. She loves that both Axe and Chuck want her and will fight for her. In the end, they will both fall over this woman. And its great. |
Monday
Scorpion on CBS
2/27 - Really enjoyed this one which focused on Bubblegirl, and the team helping save her. I also liked that they didn't magically find a donor all in one episode. Reminds me of the great emotional impact the loss of Walt's sister had on the show. I also love the growth of Happys character and her emotional development. Great stuff. |
24: Legacy on FOX
2/27 - I will say that they stepped up the shocking kills this week for sure and t actually was a pretty good episode. And the reveal that the traitor was the President's father was crazy. I still don't like the extreme's the show goes to when sometimes they could easily take a straight line to the conclusion. 3/6 - This one was crazy this week. When the Russian girl blew up herself and the bridge, that shit shocked the hell out of me. When Yo's girl and brother got kidnapped I knew some bullshit was coming. So now we got to watch another storyline where he has to work against CTU instead of getting them involved to solve the problem. So stupid. |
SuperGirl on CW
2/27 - What a blockbuster episode this was. They found and rescued Jeremiah Danvers and he reunited with Alex and Kara. Only for us to later find it was all a rouse and he was working with the bad guys all along, albeit against his will. I felt bad for Alex as she truly believed him and wanted her father back. And Mon-El was in a tough spot because he suspected it the entire time. Things going forth are going be very interesting. 3/6 - Crazy how both Alex and Kara got lost their jobs in the same episode for insubordination. Alex straight traded on the DEO as soon as she thought her father needed her. I howled when it was Jon. My biggest gripe continues to be where the hell is Superman to help his cousin against these mega villains? Makes no sense. |
Bates Motel on A&E
2/27 - This shit is bananas!!! Norman is all the way crazy now and a sexual deviant. I love how they show us the split personality of Norman/Norma visually this season and truly this dude us Psycho. Great learning that the dude who was screwing the chick in the motel is the husband of the girl Norman is obsessed with. This will create a rather interesting dynamic. 3/6 - I mean, Caleb did kinda get what he deserved for what he did to Norma when they were younger. But got damn. Norman is nuts. He's in love with his mother and the young blonde reminds him of his mother. It will be interesting to see what hapoens with Romero now that he got shot. Great season so far. |
Tuesday
Flash on CW
2/28 - Omg this was excellent. I think this was the best visual episode of the entire series with the army of gorillas. This would've been the perfect cross over episode for the rest of the DC Universe to help battle the Gorillas. Though Grodd getting thrown off the building was epic!!! Loved this. 3/7 - Saboteur talking through Julian was crazy as hell!!!! And then the revelation of his plan was nuts. I knew Wally was key to everything but who knew that his powers were all a part of Saboteurs master plan. How in the hell is Barry going to save Iris. |
DC Legends of Tomorrow on CW
3/7 - So Gideon is an actual woman, who is actually sexy. And Captain Kirk, Rip Hunter is back to normal and back in charge. Great ending. Will be interesting to see if Steel man and Amaya stop fooling around, now that he knows there relationship could change the timeline. I loved the scene where Rip forced Gideon to override the ship commands. That was tough. |
This is Us on NBC
3/7 - I tell you, this show is so far ahead of everything else on TV. Jeez. From the Memorial, to the Flashbacks with Jackn to Kate's emotions about Jack's death, to Kevin's relationship, and of course Randall's speech when he quit his job, this show has everything. EVERYTHING!!!! Man Oh man. What a great damn show. |
The Challenge Invasion on MTV
2/28 - Lmao, my man Corey said Im not trying be with nobody who be drinking so much they piss themselves in their sleep. Lmao. Then he dropped her. Lol. Loved it. Great to see the underdogs get the first win. Season is damn good. 3/7 - These idiots must be watching this back months later and wondering how fucking stupid could they have been. Why pick your strongest underdog allies off when at the end of the day the returning winners are just going to pick you apart with these weak bums they got left. This is pathetic. |
Chicago Fire on NBC
2/28 - Great to see Severide and the girl from Columbus get together and see she took the job at Chicago Med. That tragic accident which turned out to be arson was crazy. I like the cross over event and look forward to what follows. |
The Americans on FX
3/7 - Man, this show never needs to end!! They cover the infiltration of Russian spies issue greater than any work I can ever recall seeing on TV. The introduction of a whole new storyline where rget are working as married couple living a whole different life, with a kid is very interesting. I still don't understand how they can be away from their two kids for such long stretches without it coming off as suspicious by the neighbor, WHO HAPPENS TO BE AN FBI AGENT!!! I love this show. |
Wednesday
Survivor on CBS
3/8 - This season is going be the absolute best of what we saw in the premiere plays out. Sandran the two time winner, survived two tribals unscathed. Because she's simply the best and is so smart at this game. She outplayed Tony so bad and it wasn't even close. Lol. This season is going be fire man. Especially if they don't play like cowards and let the big players stick around a bit. |
Blackish on ABC
3/8 - They tackled the issue of image issues within the black community and mass marketing. Brilliant writing. The way they tackled the light skinned/ dark skin issue was very good and hit Home for me as this is a topic that was discussed greatly amongst my friends in the past. Also the black dolls has always been s problem and this show hides from nothing. |
Black Ink Crew on VH1
3/1 - My man Cease better get his mother loving life!! Shorty baaaad!!! And in the words of Ted, I'm glad he finally done with that dreadlock wearing chapped lip chick. LMAO. The Miami trip was refreshing and entertaining. Sky is just annoying and too much for me. 3/8 - This nigga Ceaser shut the shop down for good reason. I hate Sky. She should be fired. She's worthless and adds no worth to the shop. Her grudge with Tiffany is hurting business and is unproductive. Then there is Duchess stealing Yo's computer. Smh. Pathetic. Its safe to say this relationship is over and honestly, good riddance. I never liked the chapped lip broad. |
Are You the One on MTV
3/1 - I think this maybe the last season for this show in its current form. It sucks really and the no matches are kinda damned if they do and don't when you keep telling them to follow their heart, but once they fall for a confirmed no match, the shows concept forces them to separate. Its dumb. 3/8 - |
Designated Survivor on ABC
3/8 - I must say, I hated the long layoff with a passion. No show should take a three month break in the middle of its first season, especially a show in its first season. Very risky and stupid move on the Network's part. But, this show is fucking great. It has everything you look for from a suspense drama and it hooks you for the ride. Kirkland survived the shooting and the conspiracy is unraveling quickly, thank God. I was scared they were going to drag this out for weeks, but they are on to the Vice President, and his ass bought to get fried. So glad this show is back. |
