Week in TV Run It Back
DVR Review - 4/7/17
Thursday 3/16/17 - Wednesday 4/7/17
Thursday
Grey's Anatomy on ABC
16th - So this episode was a focus piece on Jackson and April. This is the second episode of the season like this where the ensembled cast aren't featured but instead a few characters arw highlighted. I don't really enjoy these, though this did serve a purpose to enhance the Jackson character and shine a light on his background and way of thinking. And we met the man behind the Avery foundation. So that was cool. But it was boring. 23rd - Man o Man. What a sad episode. Poor Maggie. The emotion when she found out her mother has breast cancer was real and came through the screen. We all know someone battling or who battled breast cancer and I really felt this was genuine. I hope they save her as there as been too much tragedy on this show. Also, I hate Shepherd and feel she is the most annoying cast member ever. In fact, i never liked her. Her and Hunt bore me. 30th - DAMN DAMN DAMN!!!! WHY!!!! This was the most gut wrenching episode in a long time on this show and it was soo sad. Poor Maggie is the saddest character in rhe shows history and her life has been one disappointment after another since she joined the cast. Her mother went through hell and watching her suffer was so hard to watch. Maggie tried to save her mother and pushed hard to do so, as I would as well. It was just hopeless. |
Scandal on ABC
16th - So it was Poppa Pope all along!!! When the shooting first happened, we probably all thought Poppa Pope was behind it. But as the weeks went on, the finger pointed elsewhere. But to see why and how he killed Vargas was shocking as hell!! Then for him to kill the lady who he did it to protect in the first place was vicious as hell!!! Yo this was nuts. Great great episode. 23rd - Wow!!! Huck can't be dead, he just can't be. I did not see that shit coming at all!! Wow!!! Fucking Abby a traitor? I guess she saw her time in the white house winding down and got desperate. I don't think he's dead since there was no head shot but the fact that it happened was shocking enough. That was crazy good. Great great episode with an excellent feature on Huck that made this feel like back when the show was great every week. 30th - So Abbey was getting blackmailed for weeks and forced to comply with this secret group's orders. And she was behind Jennifer Fields and Huck being set up. But how the fuck is Huck not already dead? Why didn't she shoot him in the head if she wanted him dead? This shit is phony if he survives. The shooting was too vivid for it not to end it death. Next week should ne interesting. |
60 Days In: ATL on A&E
16th - Snitches bound to get stitches. That's all that keeps going through my mind watching this season so far. These mofos are not playing in this jail and I got a feeling somebody bound to get caught and fucked up this season. Dude already calling black yo with the locks an informant. And OG going fuck that know it all bald brother up cause his story shaky. I'm loving it!!! 23rd - So fake tough Yo bout to break!!! LOL. I knew he was soft for real, and was trying act like he was big and bad. Pathetic. Soon as shorty challenged him, he sending out bat signals to the producers to get him outta there!! Why did that girl go in hat jail with that cheap ass wig in her head and think they wasn't going crack on her daily. LOL. The other black girl with the big booty playing it just right, stay out of trouble. Dude with the locks git called a FED!!! I love this show. 30th - I really like this season and the variety of cast members. Overall they did a very good job with picking the right men to participate in the program and give great feedback. Reason being is that the vast majority are able to blend in and build valuable connections and gather solid perspective. The women on the other hand are pretty weak. Big booty girl with the dreads is cool, but the other two completely suck and are really a waste. |
Sunday
Homeland on Showtime
19th - This is the best season in quite some time and it has everything you want from a great suspense. Dar is a evil and smart motherfucker. Poor Saul bout to get sold down the river by Carrie. Smh. We finally found out what is happening at that office building. They have a propaganda machine with people posting manufactored political statements all over message boards and social media. Quinn bout to destroy shit!!!! 26th - This season is the greatest in the shows history!!! Wow. The conspiracy is unraveling and all the ducks are lining up. So glad Saul is not going run away but stay and fight. Crazy Quinn is at his best when he's on the offense and I'm so glad he's looping Carrie in as well. And the conspiracy involving the propaganda system is going to be revealed soon, and Dar's ass is bout to get what he deserves. I really can't wait until next week. 2nd - Wow, this season just keeps getting better!!! The underground propaganda machine was exposed by the President elect on National television but still all people wanted to do was ridicule her over the video of her son being presented as a coward when he died in battle. I love this show so much, and a major reason was the scene where Quinn destroyed the Ops guy!! He mutilated him. Can't wait for next week. |
Billions on Showtime
19th - Yo this chess match is classic between Axe and Chuck. Loved when they locked up Boil and Chuck said Axe was seeing his own future. Then Axe said you mean watching you arrest other people as I walk free right out the door!!! Tremendous!! Also loved Axe setting his wife straight about that flimsy business he warned her against starting. She wasn't ready!!! Just a great newsworthy episode. 26th - Axe been catching L'S left and right. Don't get me wrong, the guy always figures out a way to land on his feet and escape complete failure, but there is no doubt about it that getting outsmarted in back to back ventures, first with the Nigerian deal, and now with the casino, is no small thing to him. And the Wendy deal is a sign of real war. Her going back to Axe Capitol, in order for him to drop the civil suits against Chuck is going make it worst. 2nd - This relationship between Axe and Wendy is the weirdest one on TV for many reasons. Normally there is a sexual tension there between a male and female character, that would lead you to believe they will eventually have sex and things will work out. But with these two its so much deeper. I think Axe does love Wendy but he also loves his wife. He just respect Wendy a lot more, probably more than anybody. And because of that, all hell is bound to unfold. |
Monday
Scorpion on CBS
20th - Very interesting episode which explored the levels of the various relationships within the team. The fact that Paige is the only non genius on the team has always been clear but I guess i never paid much attention to the lack of friendship between her and Happy. But it makes sense, as Happy is more like the guys. Paige and Walt are inching closer together and I can't wait!!! 27th - Off this week 3rd - Off this Week |
24: Legacy on FOX
20th - So they caught up with the terrorists but of course the main guy escapes right under their nose. Smh, shocker. I did like that the brother got his boys to band together to save Eric. That was a welcomed twist, seeing black civilians come to the aid of the police. The more I think of it, casting the lead as a black man was a very clear political moved from the start. I am interested to see what happens with the tortured father. Tony going in! 27th - Shit has taken yet another turn this week, and now the Senator has been taken hostage by the terrorists. It really pissed me off when the head of CTU security was easily flipped all by them holding his side piece hostage. What? That makes absolutely no sense. Also, clearly they are setting things up for Eric's wife to leave him for his brother. Shit just feels mad awkward. It continues to be way to easy to outsmartend and blackmail them. 3rd - Shit got crazy this week and it looks like the show may be in for a turn. First off, Eric's wife is going be a Super Thot if she leaves him and gets back with his brother. Bad enough she left him to be with Eric in the first place, but to go back would make her slut of the year. Clearly the terrorists really want Rebecca dead and will do anything to accomplish that goal. The fact that the son may now be dead is going cause some major shit. |
SuperGirl on CW
20th - Lot of things happened this week, including the revelation that Mon-Els parents are still alive, he is a prince and was hiding the fact from Kara. Their relationship is on the rocks because she didn't like being lied to but we know that's only short-term. Wynn found out that shorty was dooping him.thw entire time, but thankfully they ended up together in the end. He needed a break. Crossover episode next week!!! 27th - Wow, Mon-El's family just exploded. Not only did he reject going back to their planet with his mother and father, but he chose Kara over them. And that's after years of being separated and thinking they were dead. And then his mother killed his father (Hercules) for being weak and letting Mon-El go. Clearly she going be a problem and wants Kara's head on a stick. 3rd - Off this Week |
Bates Motel on A&E
20th - This season has been excellent and im so pissed that its the final one. Lets get right to the main event, Rihanna was sexy as fuck!!! Got damn that girl is bad. Loved her character too. Glad to see Dillon is on his way back to town and we will get the eventual showdown we've been waiting for 27th - This guy Norman is such a lunatic and the worst part is, he knows it and can't do anything about it. Its the most extreme case of bipolar ever. This dude Sam deserved what he had coming and I'm so glad Rihanna was able to escape unscathed. That shower sequence with her was sexy af!!! Norma was excellent this episode with her speeches. I hope Dillion comes home and kills his brother. Its the only way to stop him from being possessed. 3rd - |
Tuesday
Flash on CW
21st - I really loved this episode. One might look at it as filler that didn't continue the storyline from the week before but i believe it did. It was a great crossover episode with Supergirl and some Legends. Great!! And the musical format was so great. Kara is an excellent singer and Barry good too. Loved the love story ending with Barry singing to Iris. Excellent!! So great with the proposal, man loved it. 28th - Wtf!! Kaitlyn is dead? Why now? It seems like it came out of nowhere and was done as a way to get her to turn into Killer Frost. Shit will be very interesting. And what about your boy Barry once again playing with fire, planning to run into the future in hopes of finding away to save Iris. That's what this show has become, how can we sacrifice everyone else to save Iris. Great episode though. 4th - Off this Week |
DC's Legends of Tomorrow on CW
21st - So Mick finally turned on the Legends and Snark is officially alive again. Very eventful episode with alot of religious references. The Legion of Doom stole the spear of destiny after Mick turned, and the blood of Christ was destroyed in the mele. I woulda loved for them to go back to Calvary to the crucifixion of Jesus. That woulda took this show to another level. Very interested to see the havoc the Legion will cause now. 28th - What the hell is going on this week? Now Amaiah is dead??? Nooooo!!!!!! They have to be setting it up so they go back in the timeline and fix it so that everything is right with the world cause this is some bullshit right now. And I blame that bitch Mick for selling the crew out and choosing the Legion of Doom over the Legends. Now the Spear is destroyed and Rip and the ship is shrunk! 4th - Yo, what an excellent season finale!!! So much happened but most importantly these fools done gone and messed up the timeline, and this time in a major way. All I know is that dinosaurs were walking the streets of LA in 2017, and that can't be a good thing. Loved how Zoom returned to kill Reverse Flash. Loved it. The death scenes for the Legends were tough but rather easy if you think about it. I wonder how things will develop. |
Chicago Fire on NBC
21st - What a crazy ass episode. Wow. I applaud the writers for tackling the gang violence that is happening in Chicago. Its ridiculous and its really tragic. And this episode showed how that violence has no boundaries as it spilled into the 51 Firehouse. When that coward rammed shorty's head into the locker I wanted to jump through the screen. Very real episode that was well done. 28th - I really enjoyed this week's episode because overall everything had a feel good happy ending that was satisfying and entertaining. The hero complex culprit was horrible for causing accidents so he could save the day, but it created a great showcase for Dawson and her tenacity to see a conclusion to the investigation. Really good stuff. Also i like Kelly's new girlfriend. 4th - Im so confused why Anna just left Kelly like that. Did I miss something? I wonder if Benny and her had something in the past cause it was just very weird. I see how they addressed the Kapernick protest of tye National athem in their own way, which is a controversial topic that they took the easy stand on. Its way deeper than that and I wish they presented the reason for the orotest and had some one offer a deferring opinion. |
The Challenge Invasion on MTV
21st - So Dario got sent home this week which boggles my mind. You would think these idiots on the underdog team would want an athletic player like him to stick around and help the team for the long haul. Sylvia going home, long overdue. She was dead weight and should have went home before some of the other girls. I really hate Johnny Bananas. My man Corey a pimp!!! Shorty was wasn't out the house 10 minutes before Corey was smashing Camilla. Lol. 28th - Nicole is a PIMP. Chasing Cara Maria wasn't good enough for her, no no. She went for it all and attempted to turn big Laurel out. Lol. She was smooth with it too for awhile, then crashed like a sack of bricks. Lol. The toughest white girl to ever walk in the challenge house is for sure Amanda. She don't give a fuck and been like that since day one. Will fight and stand up against anybody who think they better than her. Love it. I really hope Darrell send that bitch Johnny home. He's so much better at this game and its hilarious. 4th - Yes Yes Yes Bananas was dominated!!! I love this season so much more now that that pompous asshole Johnny has been eliminated. Darrell clearly showed the world that that loser was selling a bunch of wolf tickets trying to market himself as the greatest to ever play. Bullshit. He just has no life so he comes to every challenge lately. There are other Vets who were great but moved on to live real lives. Great seeing Darrell dominant. |
The American on FX
21st - So they went to the next step this week, letting Paige know real details of the current mission they are working on. And clearly she is falling into the intrigue of it. I think it was a smart move as it makes her feel the purpose and feel included. Her relationship with Matthew is going to drastically change as we see her struggle with having to lie to him. But it will get easier with that technique. Very interesting episode. 28th - This season, you can can clearly see that Elizabeth and Phillip are really struggling with continuing to do the missions they are assigned. Not only are they concerned about the impact being away is having on Paige and Henry, but also they actually don't want to hurt each other and their marriage. Its actually really refreshing, especially to see Elizabeth like this, as in the past she has been presented as a heartless mission first killer, and Phillip as soft. I'm really loving this season and the maturation. Stan's new girlfriend seems fishy to me. 4th - Have not watched yet. |
Wednesday
Survivor on CBS
22nd - The craziest episode EVER!!! No doubt the craziest tribal. And somehow, someway, Sandra, the Queen, is still standing with no votes. Lol smh. O loved this so much. And Malcolm goes home for being a casualty of war. He shoulda never agreed to go along with JT cause JT left him high and dry and snitched the plan. Loved it. This season has been excellent. 29th - LMAO!!!! The Queen is still the Queen and they better prepare to bow down!!!! How does she keep going to tribal and getting not one vote!!! JT joins the ranks of idiots in Survivor history who spend energy to find an idol, knowing they need it, and get sent home without playing it. Lol. Loser. I love this season for so many reasons. The sugar!!! Genius!!! 5th - Damn, Down goes the Queen!!! Down goes the Queen. I mean you got give it to her. As a two time winner, she a had a target on her back from the jump and just kept finding a way to get out of jams. And she almost pulled it off again!! Yo if Ty was smart he would've given Sandra one of his idols and got Ozzie in a move to shift himself into a power position. But he did the right thing, she had to go. But I applaud the greatest ever! Hail Queen Sandra!!! |
Shots Fired on Fox
22nd - Interesting new show which focuses on an investigation into a black cop shooting and killing a white civilian in a southern town. But what we find is that a black boy was killed recently and no investigation took place. This show stars Sanna Latham so of course Im in. It also focuses on so many racial dynamics that we see every day. I think it will be an interesting series. 29th - So this week.they made the decision to investigate both murders and in turn have made an enemy out of the entire Sheriff's department. Clearly the department is filled with bigots and their is some deep seeded corruption going on. The video of the black officer saying he got his license to shoot crackers changed everything. And we know his coworkers leaked it. 5th - The investigation and grandstanding continued this week and its becoming more clear that the police department has covered their tracks on both murders pretty tightly. The investigation seems a bit disjointed to me because they are investigating two murders at once and many times it feels like the lines ate blurred. Sanaa Latham is pretty good in her role as a bad ass. The black woman pastor is a thug on the low and motives are blurred. |
Black Ink Crew on VH1
22nd - So its officially over between Ceaser and Duchess and I am proud of Cease for finally cutting the cord. This chick been playing with this mans emotions for years, manipulating, and turning his friends against him. In the end, it had to happen. Oshit is an idiot who is getting scammed by Nikki. Its pathetic really, but the issue could've been addressed in a better way. What if her child passed away? That wasn't right. This season wild 29th - Lol, so Kat done slipped right in as the new Duchess. If you ain't see that coming, you blind as a mofo. Shorty is bad and it was only a matter of time before Cease had to smash. And you know, i wouldn't doubt if he was testing her out before this. O Shit is an idiot and his wife is playing him. Everyone can't be lying, something fishy about this chick. Can someone explain to me the purpose of Walt and how he makes money. I'm confused. 5th - What the hell is Caesar thinking about jumping right into something serious with Kat? I mean, I know what he thinking, shorty bad as shit and make Duchess look like a swamp rat, but come on man, stop shitting where you eat. But if it gets Sky to quit and finally be gone, I'm all for it. Been over her and her entitled ways. Yo, you are a receptionist and hype man at best. Fall back fam. And I must say I hate Walt. He is such a bitch. |
Greenleaf on OWN
22nd - So they fired the gay choir director this week, which we all knew was coming. Such a cliché. Gives straight men like me who love the Lord and use our gift in service a bad name. And then for it to be done because the deacons pulled their donations was true but sad. The rivalry between Calvary and Triumph is heating up and really interesting. Its so much dirt and lies going down that there is no real saint on the show. Like real life. 29th - I really do wonder how all this will end in the rape case against Mack, cause right now it sure does look like Grace may end up killing him. I also really hope they are not leading to Mack attacking her daughter, cause i have a very bad feeling that is an option and that would be a poor decision on behalf of the writers. I like the feud between Triumph and Calvary, as its believable and you can actually see it happening in real life. 5th - Have not watched yet. |
Designated Survivor on ABC
22nd - I feel so bad for Jason. They held his son hostage so he went against everything he knows to be right as an FBI agent and complied, only for them to still kill his son and he know is fired and considered a traitor by the agency. Jeez man. The conspiracy is still wide open because the players we knew are dead and there is still so much unknown. Clearly the white house is being undermined but by who? Great episode. 29th - Very interesting episode which featured the return if the former President to the white house to meet with Kirkman. I thought he was there to undermine him, but honestly he spoke hard truths and helped. Making him Secretary of state was a good call. This conspiracy is good because it has me questioning everyone and I really have no clue who is behind a lot of this. I literally have thought through scenarios for everyone. 5th - Wow, this shit is so good. They caught the lady who killed Jason's son but had to kill her before they could interrogate her. Looks like they are planning to blow up National landmarks around the country. Also, Kirkman is finally getting into his agenda and with that the vultures are coming out ready to pounce. Very interesting that he's an Independent and not red or blue. Should mean he can get things done, right? |
