UFC 202 Preview McGregor vs Diaz 2
On Saturday night July 20th, the UFC will present another huge PPV show from the T Mobile arena in Las Vegas, which will be headlined by a rematch of one of the most shocking upsets of the year, Conor McGregor vs Nate Diaz.
Nate Diaz stepped up and took the fight against McGregor on short notice back in March, once Rafael Dos Anjos pulled out due to injury. Diaz came in with no training camp and was able to beat McGregor in round 2 by choking him out. It was crazy!!!
Conor was looking great in round 1 but in round 2, he got tired and Diaz was eating his shots like it was nothing. Diaz did to Conor what Conor has done to his previous opponents. He punked him and made him his bitch!! It was highly entertaining and the rematch is must see TV. Will the outcome be the same? I don't know. Check out the preview.
Anthony Johnson and Glover Teixeira are both looking to earn themselves a shot at UFC Light-heavyweight champion Daniel Cormier with a win here. Both are knockout artist and this should be a slugfest. Rumble was beaten by DC already but he did rock DC early and many thought he could have beaten him. Glover was dismantled by Jon Jones, but other than that he's been great. I predict Rumble walks away with a big win and gets his rematch with DC.
Cowboy Cerrone is looking to continue his winning ways and climb back into championship contention in this fight against Rick Story. Story is a dangerous fighter who shouldn't be taken lightly. Cowboy was dominated by Dos Anjos in December, but has fought twice sine then, and just beat Patrick Côté in June. I think Cowboy will win, but I wouldn't be surprised if Story catches him slipping.
This fight is all about showcasing the rising star of Cody Garbrandt, who has been dominant on his way to his 9-0 record. This guy has his eyes squarely in one direction and that's Dominick Cruz, the Bantemweight champion. I see a knockout and when for Garbrandt, who is the real deal.
