I LOVE REALITY: Shark Tank
I love Shark Tank, and it is my favorite reality show.
The show features 5 multimillionaire (even some billionaire) business tycoons, who listen to contestants try to convince any one of the sharks to invest money in their idea. When more than one of the sharks decide they want a piece of the action, a bidding war can erupt, driving up the price of the investment.
Each Shark has their own area of expertise but when any of them see an idea that can make money, they all are apt to take a bite.
A entrepreneur comes into the Tank and presents their idea, then offers the Sharks a percentage of their business for a certain price. Many times the entrepreneur will over value their company and get slaughtered by the Sharks for being uneducated or greedy. I love that part. Or they may have proof that their evaluation is accurate and receive offers.
Once the entrepreneur proves their concept of business is worthy, many times multiple offers start rolling in and the Sharks will out bid or undercut each other attempting to secure a deal. Sharks can ban together or be greedy and want the company solely for themselves.
I absolutely love it.
If you can make it onto Shark Tank, you'll have an audience of about 10 million people to show your product. That alone has helped so many businesses become successful, even those who didn't strike a deal with the Sharks. So many excellent success story's have come from Shark Tank and the hope the show instills in viewers who may have a dream of their own is immeasurable.
Do yourself a favor, check out Shark Tank, Friday nights on ABC.
Without question, its the best reality show on TV.
