TOP FIVE SHOWS
OF THE LAST WEEK
NUMBER FIVE
With a lot of shows already concluding their seasons, I really didn't watch too many shows of great quality. Sure, I could have listed Westworld, and it was alright, but it wasn't top five worthy.
NUMBER FOUR
The Last O.G. - TBS
I really have been enjoying the Last OG all season but last week's episode was the best because it tied up alot of the questions I had throughout the season, with the main one being why Trey got locked up and nobody else did. It all made sense once we saw the beef that went down between his cousin and the rival gang. And the fact that he told Wavey he wanted out of the game after damn near getting killed. Wavey set him up and got him arrested. It was a hell of a moment.
NUMBER THREE
Billions - Showtime
Axe is a ruthless business man, we all know that. But he has been slowly creating a monster that may ultimately become the major force behind his downfall. I have always gotten a sense from watching Taylor that she was going to become a major enemy of Axe's and it would be because of him taking her lightly. Axe burned her by selling off the shares she invested in behalf of her new boyfriend and it was a hell of a shrewd move. She's reaching her boiling point and I wouldn't be shocked if she ended up either snitching or costing the company Billions of dollars. Its heating up!!
NUMBER TWO
Black Ink Chicago - VH1
Black Ink returned for a new season of the Chicago version and so many things happened that made it an epic return. Right off the bat, Ryan is gone and took the 9mag name with him. The rest of them are trying to portray him like he turned his back on them but in all actuality, I feel he should've stayed and fired all them. He pays the bills, picks up the slack and takes shot off everyone. Then when he ran into the situation with Kat last season, all them turncoats had her back and hung him.out to dry. Let's be real, she chose to leave 9mag originally and he felt she wasn't being loyal. Come to find out, they was secretly messing around while Ryan was single. Once Ryan and his girl Rachel got back together and Kat was out the picture, she should've respected that and fell back, but instead she wanted to air it out. And the roommates helped blow it up. Come to find out Ryan already told his girl and they wanted to handle that off camera for the sake of their son, but
Kat and the rest of them kept bringing it up and putting Ryan and Rachel in situations on camera to force drama. And in the end they all didn't have Ryan's back. Especially Van, who talks all that shit as the big tough guy, but when he was in jail, Ryan was the one who stepped in and helped him financially. So I'm glad Ryan bounced on then bums. Let's see how they di without him. And Don cheated, AGAIN, but this time his wife may finally wake up and be done with him. What a great season this will be.

THIS WEEK'S NUMBER ONE
The Americans - FX
There are numerous great shows that completely failed in delivering and series finale worthy of being the final memory viewers have of the show. The Americans delivered perfection. Simply amazing. Yes, I'm an American. No, I don't want our country undermined at hands of foreign spies, attempting to do harm to our system and government. And yet throughout the past 6 seasons of this show, I have grown to root for the Russian spies Philip and Elizabeth and root against the American FBI agents. It sounds so unamerican, but we grew an attachment to the heart and true purpose of why they were doing and what they did, and sympathized with the fact that as youth, they had no real choice.
The greatest scene of any show I can remember is when Stan confronts Phillip, Elizabeth and Paige in the parking garage. It was intense, shocking, explosive and satisfying to no end. The fact that Phillip talks Stan out if not shooting them, let alone arresting them was soooooo great!!!
And the combination of having to Henry behind combined with Paige getting off the train and not leaving the country with her parents was so well done. But in the end, they all got away. It was a happy and satisfying ending to a sensational series. Can't give it a higher recommendation.
