Run It Back DVR Review: Fall Season #5
Monday 10/17/16 - Sunday 10/30/16
With so many great shows airing each day, its impossible to watch everything live, or on a daily basis. So this is the best way for me to give my quick thoughts on what's happening on all the shows I watch.
Each and every week here at Causioncreations, I will "Run back" over my DVR and give my quick thoughts on all the shows. I start on Monday and run until Sunday. Some weeks I may skip a show, so the next week I will cover any episode I may have missed the previous week.
So let's get to it.

Monday
Scorpion on CBS
10/17 YOOOO Your boy Sly pulled out a gazoo and he and Walter broke into song and dance and a new hot dog called a U dog!!!!! LMAO. Greatest moment ever!!! Crazy reveal this week that Happy is married to... Walter!?!?! She married him so he wouldn't be deported. Idk know, that's a huge stretch to me. Also Happy is pregnant. That's going be crazy. 10/24 Not alot of storyline advancement this week which concentrated on a mission to stop some guys from stealing bomb materials from a museum. Happy and Walter are still married and must prove the validity of their marriage to the deportation officials. This should be interesting. |
Kevin Can Wait on CBS
10/17 I like this show because it lets Kevin James be himself and to me that is simply hilarious. This week the fool got caught for stealing his home boys story and portraying it as his own. When he was running in yhe alley and struggled to climb the fence and got stuck i died laughing. Lol. What a fool!! And your boy with the corn on the cob!!!! 10/24 Great to see Ray Romano back on TV and playing a completely different role than we are used to seeing from him. The obnoxious neighbor coming from all people Ray, is the most ironic thing I have seen in a while. Kevin continues to be very funny. |
SuperGirl on CW
10/17 I really think adding Superman to the show has taken things to a new level. The fight scene where Clark and Jon Jones teamed up to fight one villain, while Kara and Alex killed the other was excellent. We found out that the issue between Clark and Jon Jones is over the DEA storing meteor rock. I don't think he turned it all over in the end either. 10/24 I loved the fight scene this week with SuperGirl and the fire chick. Excellent CG. Also i like the role of Lex's sister and clear she will eventually become a villain. The build to that should be interesting to see. And then there is Alex. She is clearly attracted to the female cop amd clearly she is a closet lesbian. |
Black Ink: Chicago on VH1
10/17 This dude Don is the definition of a fuck up. Just end it with the girl and move on with your life man. Take care of your kids and be single. Then there is the Ryan. Ok, they weren't handling their business but he acts like a bitch and replaces everyone basically. Also, if I was Van I would be mad but he should get over it. He ain't paid booth rent.... 10/24 The new chick Cobra is completely out of place and wrong fir the shop. The new dude is chills and actually gets along with everyone so he's a cool addition. Van acts like a bitch though and uts becoming more and more apparent. Why is Don only shown when he's fucking up, which is all the time!! Smh. |
Conviction on ABC
10/17 A wrongful conviction is a wrongful conviction and if the unit wants to be taken seriously it must defend people who may not be likable but still innocent of the crime they were convicted of. I liked how they danced around it this week because had they gotten this dude off, it would have overturned multiple just convictions. 10/24 I love this show and Hayes is sexy as hell. The news about her coacaine arrest finally came out and all hell broke loose. But her interview was the best!! She gives no damns. I figured this weeks case out pretty quickly, as i suspected the daughter probably killed her brother for abusing her mother. Hell of an episode really. |
Tuesday
Flash on CW
10/18 Ok Jesse Quick is here and I'm liking it. A major positive of the various timelines is the show is able to change course and introduce different story lines and characters seamlessly. The comics have been written with so many different variations that the timeline changes and earth jumps allow the best of all the world's to play out on the show. 10/25 I really thought this was the most fun episode of the season so far. We got the return of Snark, Captain Cold, which was also a major hint that we will be seeing him return soon to Legends of Tomorrow. I also loved the maturation of the Barry and Iris storyline. I really like how the story is developing. The new Wells is funny and that was a good idea too. I'm interested to see what happens with Katlyn. |
This Is Us on NBC
10/18 This show touches on so many issues that are rarely explored this way on TV. I loved the scenes from the pool and it really did explore some serious race issues. This show also really touches on weight issues really well with Kate as well. Also, the scene with Randal watching his daughter play Snow White in the school play was so powerful. 10/25 I loved this episode and it really was another look into what makes this show so great. A few weeks ago we learned that Rebecca remarried Jack's friend later on in life, and this week we learned that Jack in fact is dead, and was great father to the three kids. We also learned that he was teh one who wanted kids and Rebecca really didn't. Also we learned football was a huge link that brought the family together. I love this show so much. |
Chicago Fire on NBC
10/18 Wow just Wow. Jimmy was a complete asshole to Bodin, blaming him for his brother's death. And I really wanted his ass to get fired and taught a lesson. But damn!!! I wouldn't wish him getting burned to a crisp like that on my worst enemy. Crazy. What a dramatic moment in the history of the show. But, if the young punk should have shown respect and listen to his superiors. 10/25 Why does Kelly always get wrapped up in some bullshit. But hey, at least Molly's is benefitting from it. Casey is always in some bullshit too. How did he ever think that was a smart move to corner that chick and threaten her like that. Smh. I wish they would concentrate more on just fire house business. Much like what they did for the homeless boy with hepatitis C. That was freat and great cross over between all the shows. |
Atlanta on FX
10/18 Paper Boi beating the hell out that club promoter was the highlight of this week's episode which contained many hilarious bits. I love how this show blends real life issues in with the comedic moments, and the writing is top notch. I fully understood how he felt about the club though. As you get older that shit is for the birds. 10/25 Im so glad my man Ern got his girl back because they belong together. This episode was a good look into a recurring theme we have seen this season where different characters are faced with having to be pretend to be someone they are not to get ahead. We have seen it time and time again and its so true. We many times do have to where the mask to advance in business, but I love how this episode shower both sides of that coin. Great episode. |
Wednesday
Survivor on CBS
10/19 Dave made the right call this week eliminating CeeCee. She was a liability and it gained him some more trust. Great job finding another idol too. My favorite right now is Michaela, as she is a beast!! She had been dominating the competition so far, which will make her a real threat and target very soon. Plus her mouth and facial expressions are going to get her in trouble. 10/26 LOL, Adam made the right call splitting up the showmance. Figgy thought she was untouchable and she needed to get the boot. I loved it. It will be interesting how the Gen X group responds. I got a feeling the majority won't mind. Michaela continues to absolutely dominate challenges. But her attitude is too brash to last long in this game. She needs to chill the fuck out. So much potential but that mouth going get her. |
Blackish on ABC
10/19 Off due to Presidential Debate 10/26 This was the first Halloween episode of the season and it was a great one. Junior putting nuts in Dre's face as he dunked on him was hilarious. But the best part if the episode was Charlie's fake funeral. Diane is hilarious and her excitement of his death was priceless. Charlie is one of the best characters on TV. |
Real World Seattle: Bad Blood on MTV
10/19 The entire episode was a build up to when the Bad Blood cast mates enter the house next week. Honestly, I would prefer if we just got a traditional season of the Real World and didn't have to do this twist. I like the cast as it is constructed and its really not needed. Lot of good looking females this season, I must add. 10/26 The others have arrived and shit is awkward. I really don't get the point. Why can't we just stick with the original cast. I wouldn't mind if the new people just came for a week or something but 14 people at once? Tia is annoying as hell but she ain't no punk. Theo's cousin is a whore and I want them to fight. Yo let his cousin take the fall on some weed possession charge and he lost hs football scholarship. I would be pissed too. |
Law and Order: SVU on NBC
10/19 Off due to Presidential Debate 10/26 A parent will always try to protect their child, just the way it is. So its obvious that if a father is a cop, he will use whatever resource he can to protect his child. I honestly felt bad for the defendant this week as the girl did come on to him and gave him every indication she was ready to go. But she was drunk and fell asleep and he shoulda stopped. Very interesting topic and great to see Mark Green back on TV. |
Designated Survivor on ABC
10/19 Off due to Presidential Debate 10/26 President Kirkman is a good man but unfortunately he's not the quickest guy in the world. While I feel he's correct in not trusting Hookstraten, he's to overt with his issue with her and he's not playing it cool enough. But on the flip side, He's is too trusting of Macleish, who somehow is the only person to survive the Capitol bombing. I'm glad the FBI chick Maggie is on to this dude and suspects that he's in on the bombing. This show is great. |
Thursday
Grey's Anatomy on ABC
10/20 Granny June was hilarious!!!!!! No cuts, screw her, Granny June is going get a liver today!!! I loved it!!! I didn't blame her either. I'm glad that end the end both people were able to receive a transplant but again one life is not more important than another due to age. That was unfair of Meredith and Webber. Great job Bailey!! 10/27 So Webber's own wife may boot him from head of the teaching program? That's crazy. But Ms Avery pointed out a great point and that's damn near every Dr on the show has made a drastic mistake and been given another chance, including Bailey. I miss tough Nazi Bailey sometimes, but her charm is in her humanity. Great episode. |
DC's Legends of Tomorrow on CW
10/20 This show never ceases to amaze me. Its ability to include so many great moments and time periods makes this show packed with endless possibilities. I loved when they kicked the Nazi's asses. The Justice Society is very intriguing and i hope they have many more crossover episodes in the future. I wonder where Rip Hunter is and Captain Cold. They need to be back soon. 10/27 I actually really liked this episode and think the show has been so much better ever since its stopped revolving around hunting down Vandal Savage. I like that they found a secret compartment in the ship and I think Rip Hunter is inside. Also the Steel man is the shit. I like his character and he's an excellent addition to the show. And I love Amaya. I think my man Mick might hit that. Lol. |
How to Get Away With Murder on ABC
10/20 So Laurel finally told Annalise that Frank is alive. Craziest shit was when Frank and Bonnie slept together. Weird. I got a feeling that Annalise amd the Dean are going become lesbian lovers. All of their interactions give me that vibe. Also, the Flash forwards are confusing as hell this season and I have no clue what is going on. 10/27 This show is nuts. Sooo Frank set up Mahoney's son for the murder and now Wes is free and clear. But it us true, Wes is the center if all the bullshit on thus show. Well besides Annalise of course. I knew Wes was going be Laurel's baby daddy. Them getting together was inevitable. What the hell is Frank going do when he find out? Jeez. And what the hell is going on with the Flash forward scenario. I'm confused. |
60 Days In on A&E
10/20 Ryan continues to push his limits and act just like he's and inmate with the store his has opened. It seems like whatever the Sheriffs told him not to do, he continues to do in hopes of gaining valuable "info". I think he's just feeding his ego. I wouldn't be surprised if they held his ass longer for committing real crimes. Ashleigh is falling apart and Zack makes things worst. Sad. 10/27 3 inmates were released this week including Dion, Monalisa, and Green Mile. I always love seeing the jubilation of the participants when they get to leave and take a hot shower and lay on a nice bed. I think the show should dedicate more time to the feedback sessions with the participants and the Sheriffs. We get a few critiques and then they just move on. That's not enough to speak to all the issues the participants witnessed. |
Sunday
Secrets and Lies on ABC
10/23 This show has so many twist and turns its hard to keep up with. So you bail out a you suspect may have killed your wife, only to kidnap him and ask him questions. What? To make this show better, Cornell should be focused on alot more. The end was interesting with the reveal that dude is a cop, and wonder what that means for the case, since clearly he knows more than letting on. 10/30 I really am confused on who the hell killed this chick. Hell, we don't even know who she really is. For all we know, she jumped. I'm starting to think that the brother and his wife have something to do with it. He knew information this week before it was shared. I also am skeptical of the sister. Honestly, I skeptical of everyone. This show is confusing. I will just wait until the reveal. |
Shameless on Showtime
10/23 I am proud of Fiona for sticking to her guns. She basically gave up her life because her parents weren't shit, and raised her siblings. Now, they are older and want to be assholes to her, so she is worried about herself. The real problem is Debbie. Why should anyone feel sorry for her when she intentionally got pregnant. These are the consequences. 10/30 They should take Debbie's baby away and I don't feel sorry for her one bit. The chick is reckless and honestly she has done horrible things the last two seasons that don't make her sympathetic. And Fiona is going too far with her tough love. It will be interesting to see if she takes over the Laundromat. My favorite is Carl, as he's got his head on straight and is trying. |
West World on HBO
10/23 Each week we learn more and more about the backstory of the park they have created. The power of the Anthony Hopkins character was shown in no uncertain terms this week, as was the danger of what would happen if they piss him off. He has complete control over the subjects and the story lines. Delores continues to get smarter and the man in the black hat is on a mission. 10/30 That was crazy how Elsie figured out somebody was using the host to smuggle data out of the park. Question is, who is doing it and why? Delores went hard and wasn't the damsel this week. Lol. The interactions between Anthony Hopkins and Delores, and Hopkins and the man with the Black hat shed some valuable insight as well. Reaching the center of the maze is key somehow. Also there was a lot of thumping this episode. Lol. |
Masters of Sex on Showtime
10/23 I really like the direction of Bill's character this season and Im glad they introduced the Doddie character as the one that got away from his past. She has been alluded to in the past and the way their relationship ended could lend credence to what has caused Bill's emotional issues. We learned more about Niecy Nash's character and that really was a breath of fresh air. 10/30 Bill and Virginia are back together and that was super intense. That was called true passion folks, and its what both really have been waiting for. I do feel bad about the Doddie situation, because clearly she was supposed to be the one Bill should have married when he was younger. Plus it answers so many questions about his personality and his inability to connect. I do wonder how this situation is going to turn out with the Nancy and Art, as clearly Nancy wants to be competition. |
Insecure on HBO
10/23 They sending white people emails!!! Lmao. I like this show cause they keep it really real. I sympathize with Lawrence too. He is actually trying to find a good job, but is just having no luck. But shorty at the bank, got damn. That's the girl he should be with. I'm glad he finally took a job to show he just wants to fight for his relationship. 10/30 Clearly Issa walking on thin ice talking to this dude. Females. Always think the grass greener. My man Lawrence need to watch himself. Tread carefully bruh, cause shorty from the bank wants you man. She's fine as hell, believes in youn is supportive. Those are the chicks men cheat on their girl with. And i don't blame Molly for not wanting to break the news to her coworker. When she tried to talk to shorty before she acted like she ain't want to listen. Oh well. |
