Causion's NFL Power Rankings: Pre - Week 4
Today I reveal my weekly NFL power rankings heading into week 4 of the season. I will take into account everything I know about these teams, and give heavy consideration to what was displayed on the field so far this season. This gives an accurate assessment of where teams are at in my opinion.

They are playing as well as any team in the league right now. The defense dominated against the 49ers with two picks for scores.

The Bengals are playing as well as any team in the league right now. Andy Dalton has never been better.

Who had this team off to a 3-0 start? Big credit has to go to coach Dan Quinn and quarterback Matt Ryan.

7. Carolina Panthers - 8 last week
Cam Newton is playing at a high level right now and the defense is making big plays when it matters.

They went to Miami and showed they will be a factor in the AFC East. That defense was dominant for much of the game

With Adrian Peterson back to his old ways, they will be tough to stop. They do face a tough trip this week to San Diego

12. Dallas Cowboys - 9 last week
They have had too many injuries to overcome. Not just Tony Romo and Dez Bryant, either. The defensive line was a mess against the Falcons.

At 1-2, their start has to be considered disappointing. They just aren't good enough on offense. Now they face a tough division game at Arizona.

They are 1-2 after two tough road losses to good teams. The offensive line isn't playing well right now.

The fourth-quarter collapse will be tough to overcome. The Colts game is one that could have set them up to take the next step.

After beating the Redskins last Thursday, they face a stiff road test at Buffalo. The offense will be challenged by that Bills defense.

They did a nice job bouncing back on the road against the Jets. The offense still doesn't look right, though.

That was a huge fourth-quarter comeback at Tennessee. That might quiet the Andrew Luck critics for a bit

21. Miami Dolphins - 18 last week
That front 7 needs to play alot better for all the money they are being paid. I expect more from them. They didn't even show up against the Bills.

It was back to Josh McCown, and they still lost. How many losses before it's back to Johnny Manziel?

At 1-2, they're tied for first place. But they have to get that offense going. It won't be easy in Atlanta.

They play a huge division game with the rival Steelers on Thursday. A loss there and they might not be able to recover.

They competed without Drew Brees, but they are 0-3 in a division with two 3-0 teams in front of them. That's a big hole.
