Cinco De Mayo Weekend
In what has become a tradition, boxing has booked a big fight on the Saturday of Cinco de Mayo weekend that usually attracts the largest audience of the year. And recently, UFC has followed suit to present a card as well. Well this year, we got a treat.
WBC middleweight champion Saul “Canelo” Alvarez (47-1-1, 33 KOs) did what everyone expected him to on Saturday night in stopping Amir Khan (31-4, 19 KOs) in the 6th round to retain his WBC middleweight title at the T-Mobile Arena in Las Vegas, Nevada.

On Sunday afternoon, UFC Fight took place in Rotterdam, The Netherlands, the first event in that country. The main event was a match of two heavy hitting heavyweights, as Alistair Overeem knocked out Andrei Arlovski.
