NUMBER FIVE
Station 19 - ABC
I have been watching and enjoying Station 19 since it premiered earlier this spring, but it wasn't good enough to crack the top 5, which is reserved for the best of the best. Well, last weeks finale finally did it. It was soooo good. This episode tied up so many things that happened throughout previous episodes and it made me so invested in the characters. At the end I was literally furious that I have to wait until next season to see what happens next and it actually made me mad!! That's called compelling TV. I'm completely invested in what happens to these characters and this was great!
NUMBER FOUR
Westworld - HBO
I'd be lying if I told you I can watch an episode of this season without needing to rewind a few times throughout because I feel like I missed something. But this week, the switching between present and future was so much more seamless and easier to follow. We learned alot more about Bernard and William and the motivation of the characters. But I still have no clue on what were the initial intentions of some. This show is confusing but so intriguing and it keeps you thinking every minute. Great episode.
NUMBER THREE
For the People - ABC
I really really love this show. The cases are interesting but its the people and the character development that makes it special. The interactions between Roger, the DA, and Jill the PDA, have been building all year and this episode made me want to them together even more. Also I love Kate Littlejohn's quirkiness and she is one of the unique characters you will see on TV. Highly entertaining.
NUMBER TWO
Greys Anatomy - ABC
Wow, just wow. That may have been the best feel good season finale final moments the show has ever had. As a fan since day one, that was phenomenal storytelling and it gave the April and Arizona characters the most feel good send offs I can recall for any characters. Excellent stuff. And the Jolex wedding snafu was perfect complete with the subtle reveal that Teddy is pregnant most likely with Owens baby. Great finale.
THIS WEEK'S NUMBER ONE
The Americans - FX
The end is near and you can see the handwriting on the wall that Stan is going figure this out very very soon. When he was flashing Elizabeth's picture around I popped!! Then when they figured out the man and woman were the same people in disguises, the jig was basically up. Not to mention that the female is a chain smoker. Breaking away Elizabeth from the grip of the Center may be the best thing Phillip accomplished by telling her that he was approached to spy on Elizabeth. This ending is going be epic!!!
