CC's 2018 Spring TV Cancellation & Renewal Update
It happens every season. A show you give a try and end up enjoying, gets cancelled. It happens to me all the time. I'm used to it, because I basically watch everything so I can form an opinion on it. But this season, some of these cancellations I have really gotten under my skin more than normal. I'm so sick of investing time into watching a new show, enjoying it, and then as a reward for investing my time, the show gets axed without a proper conclusion. Let's get to it, because I have a lot to say.
Frustrating Cancellations
If you follow my weekly DVR Top Five reviews each week, you know that I feel that this season of Designated Survivor has been one of the best shows on TV. So you can only imagine how furious I was when news broke that the show has been canceled! I know ratings are important, but quality is as well, and some shows should get more support from the Network to actually promote it and market it before its axed. They move shows they want to do better to better time slots. They didn't give this show that chance and it's a shame.
Another show I rated pretty high this season was The Crossing, which ABC also gave the axe. I just don't understand why I even watch some of these new shows. i should just wait a few years then catch up, so i don't get attached and furious when they cut it.
I'm really more sad than anything about the cancellation of Scorpion. I know, it's not the best show, and I'm even guilty of fastforwarding through the majority of some of the unrealistic missions during the episodes, but I loved that cast so much. I'm so sad that I can't see Katherine McPhee on my TV every week. The show will be missed.

Shocking Cancellations
When news broke that Brooklyn Nine-Nine had been canceled by FOX, I was stunned. I was a huge fan of the show for the first few seasons, and really enjoy the performances by the cast. In all actuality, I'm guilty for adding to the cancellation, as I stopped watching the show live because of the time slot change put it head up with a number of shows that I watch more, and I DVR and binge it in the offseason. But I had no clue that they would actually cancel it.
I just was sure that NBC would give Rise another year to gain its traction, so cancelling already was a complete shocker. It wasn't This Is Us, but it was a quality drama that deserve more time to tell a story and develop beyond this seasons story arc.
Another shw that I watch and enjoy everytime I see it, is The Mick. This show legitimately is hilarious, but after season one, it did lose a lot of its audience due to stiff competition.
