What You Should Be Watching: Ray Donavan
This Sunday night on Showtime, one of my favorite shows returns for its 3rd season, Ray Donovan.
The show is about Ray, who is a "fixer" for the Hollywood's elite. He's almost like the vicious male version of Olivia Pope in many ways. He is the go-to guy that the city's celebrities, athletes and business execs call to make their problems disappear.
Ray used to be a connected thug in Boston crime mob, which helped fund his business and connect him with some powerful people in various industries. But no amount of money can completely mask Ray's past, a past that continues to haunt him with troubled brothers always calling and his father's recent release from 20 years spent in prison.
Now a free man, Ray's father, Mickey, arrives in Los Angeles to get what he feels is rightfully his. Mickey's desire to reconnect and settle old scores with his family. Ray hates his father and he threatens to destroy everything Ray has built for himself.
I absolutely love crime dramas, and this how is a great example of the modern day underworld we all know exist as it relates to the rich and famous.
Be sure to check out Ray Donovan from the beginning, but I have posted episode one of this upcoming season below.
