TOP FIVE SHOWS
OF THE LAST WEEK
NUMBER FIVE
Reverie - NBC
After 3 episodes I'm officially hooked to this show starring some of my favorites, Sarah Shahi, who was great on Persons of Interest and Dennis Haysbert, who will always be known as President David Palmer from 24, to me. It's far from your typical crime procedural, and is more of a sci fi action adventure. I'm loving the concept of creating an alternative reality where you can enjoy all the great things in life and reconnect with loved ones who have passed away. It's like being able to tap into heaven. Love it and you should check it out.
NUMBER FOUR
The Last Defense - ABC
This new docu-series produced by Viola Davis tells the story of woman who is right now sitting on death row, charged with murdering her two young children. The story is crazy because many on one side believe she's innocent, and others believe she did it. the circumstances and how the story is being told on the show is so fascinating. Definitely worthy of your time.
NUMBER THREE
Succession - HBO
Two episodes in, and I am hooked to this show. The power struggle and family dynamic is something many of us can relate to and this episode really took its time and laid out the intention of each character and after only two weeks I've grown an attachment to them. And the shocking final moment was so satisfying as he opened his eyes.
NUMBER TWO
Westworld - HBO
Finally, after of weeks of being dissatisfied with season 2, we got the best episode of the season, hands down. It was focused, made sense, and everything had a purpose. So much of this season has felt rushed and over complicated, but this episode told a love story and gave us a clear purpose for why the host want out!! This was sensational.
THIS WEEK'S NUMBER ONE
Billions - Showtime
The absolute greatest thing I saw last week was the season finale of Billions!!! Not only was the confrontation between Axe and Taylor epic but Connerty got his revenge and Chuck got fired too!!! What an amazing feat!! So much so that in the end, Axe and Chuck actually came together and had a glass of wine and may even work together next season!!! This was insanely great!!! Phenomenal season!!
